Picture Story
Before you jump to conclusions, let me explain. Your first assumption is correct. Yes, this is a funny picture of me mid-flip where yes I belly flopped, but that is besides the point. This photo was over the summer of 2018. It was an innocent sunny day and I got invited boating. Any normal teenager would say yes without hesitation, but not me. It was a constant mental battle every time I was told to go into the water. I have a fear of the unknown, I have always been afraid to get into the water when I cannot see what is below or around me. But I always love to challenge myself so I said yes. To be completely honest with you I wasn't expecting to actually get in the water but just enjoy the ride until the boat came to a halt and I was told to throw out the anchor. I followed my orders as I got dragged to the roof of the boat where I was face to face with my worst fear. My friend that was with me told me I wouldn't jump in and I was instantly motivated to prove her wrong. Everyone there knew my fear and worries but also knew nothing bad was going to happen to me. Therefore, they began rocking the boat, making my heart sink deeper down than the 10 story water. Thoughts were racing through my mind like a wind storm. One second I would think to myself, “Alright Sam what are you so afraid of exactly?” Then another side of me would think, “oh my God oh my God as soon as I become airborne there is going to be a cold-blooded, human eating machine giant shark that swims up and swallows me whole and I will slowly decay inside of its stomach.” But like I said before, I love testing myself and my fears. I would go skydiving if I could. I would probably ride the fastest and scariest roller coaster with no seat belt if I had the opportunity. With that being said, I know that it is ridiculous that my only fear is the water. With that in mind, I literally took a leap of faith. With everyone cheering me on, I decided last second to do a flip and wild the crowd a little bit. It was an instant release of dopamine until, I crashed onto the water stomach first and physically couldn't breath and thought I was drowning. But, that's okay because I got over myself and did it again.
3RD wave feminism is pointless// Argument essay
I am a girl and I have been subliminally told that If I am not a feminist, I hate women. I am all for “girl power” but we are shoving the idea of feminism down each others throats and forcing each other to believe we are less than men. But, anything negative said about women will be promptly used as a feminist’s platform to tell everyone how misogynistic, prejudice and brainwashed you are. It's as if anyone who talks to you is walking on eggshells trying not to upset you. So what is the group really rallying against? You are being hypocritical, wanting equal rights but then expecting extent amounts of special treatment. Physiologically, feminist have it right. It isn't even controversial that both genders deserve equal rights and respects. But by your acts, you are increasingly turning the discrimination against men. Radical feminist have completely slaughtered the original meaning of feminism and just highlighting the differences between men and women which is the absolute opposite of gender equality.
“When talking about feminism, there are a lot of misconceptions about what the word actually means,” says Brittney McNamara, on Teen Vogue “At its heart, feminism is about choice. It’s the belief that everyone should have the equality that grants them the right to choose how they live their lives.” But that is unfortunately not how it is. Joan Walsh, an author, made an appearance on NSMBC to declare how outrageous Ivanka Trump was for wearing a pink, too girly, dress on TV. “That’s not a dress that’s made to go out in the world and make a difference. That is a dress that is designed to show off your girlieness, and you know, God bless her, show it off, but don’t then tell us you’re crusading for an equal place for women at the table, because you’re not.” Said Walsh. If you guys weren't so consistently hypocritical, maybe people wouldn't think you are literally insane every time you open your mouth and actually listen to what you have to say.
Inevitably, there will always be differences between men and women. It is inexorable that physically, there will always be biological differences between genders. Neither gender is better than the next but we are symbiotic, and feminist are destroying that. We have more equal rights in the United stated that often go unnoticed. We live in a time period where women are able to take on the same jobs as men. Before the 1970’s women could get their careers taken away if founded pregnant. We couldn't vote. There were no women allowed in the military and in many states, women couldn't even serve on a jury. So I am struggling to understand what you are still fighting so belligerently for. Feminism used to mean that women have equal rights as men. But more or less, we do. And the term has completely been altered. If you tell a women to smile at a camera, your sexist. If you call a women beautiful, you are reducing her to only her looks. Not all men are degrading pigs. The generalization needs to stop because it is not okay to put down an entire gender to form a sense of dominance. We need to be thankful for the rights we do have and not parade around, demanding to be superior.

My driving question
As I sit here typing out this paper that is very unprepared, I have found my driving question. I love reading, writing and art but CANNOT find myself to have the motivation to do anything related to this talent. When I was a child I started from drawing stick figures and then quickly came to reading super hard books translated from first century french. My sister would always read to me when the times were getting rough at home so it quickly became my escape, my relaxer. I refuse to read or write if I am not 100% focused because a good book deserves all your attention. As I began to grow up, it became less of a priority and more of a chore for a few points. My writing became more sloppy and my writers block was controlling me. But as of this year I found new genres that I love to read and new genres I love to write. I am not required to read and write a bunch of boring stuff I do not like but I am in control, (for the most part) and I can be good at whatever I want to be good at.
